The living conditions in Germany are not the same everywhere. But who is ahead, who will catch up or who will stay behind? The CD-ROM INKAR 2006 provides answers to these questions. It provides location conditions for cities, districts and regions using more than 800 indicators. Thus, the software is suitable for both political and economic planning as well as for school education.

The latest edition of INKAR, published by the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), deals with all socio-politically relevant topics such as population and social structure or economy and employment.

The numerous indicators throughout Germany are prepared in a comparable way and provide information about the strengths and weaknesses of one's own city or district in comparison to other districts, regions and federal states. They also provide information on medical care, birth rates or life expectancy, such as household income, tax revenues or corporate investments.

Clear regional differences

For example, comparing the economic and residential locations clearly shows that the regions in the south often have the "better maps". On the other hand, only a few, mostly urban, centers stand out of mediocrity north of the Main Line and especially in the East. Based on the manufacturer's information, nationwide and Europe-wide location comparisons and analyzes can be carried out quickly on the basis of comprehensive data and maps.

INKAR 2006 provides flexible access to a wide range of regional and urban statistical information, which can be researched and analyzed using a variety of options. With just a few mouse clicks, all information can be displayed, printed or exported as thematic maps or graphics. According to the BBR, INKAR is suitable for journalists, teachers, students, universities, cities, districts and municipalities, associations and planners. display

Award-winning and user-friendly

Already last year, the previous version INKAR 2005 was awarded the "Customer Experience Award 2006". The successful integration into the office environment was particularly prized at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Boston. According to the publishers, it enables a highly user-friendly use of thematic cartography (Business Intelligence Maps). Users could easily visualize and analyze geospatial information without extensive prior knowledge.
