Sensor measuring network provides insight into permafrost and rockfall

Unique measurement campaign: For ten years, a wireless sensor network on the Hörnligrat on the Matterhorn has provided continuous measurement data on the condition of rocks, permafrost and the climate. This helps researchers better predict the risk of rock falls - both on the Matterhorn and other mountains.
