Images of endless sandworms suggest that there is plenty of sand on our planet. This is also true. But only a small part of it can be used as raw material and it will be scarce. The unabated demand, especially from the construction industry, endangers entire ecosystems.

Sand is omnipresent - and largely invisible. He is stuck as concrete, glass and co in almost all our buildings, roads and other parts of the infrastructure. That's why the demand for this raw material is rising rapidly. But sand does not grow so easily. A journey in the footsteps of an underrated raw material.
